Position Summary

The Equipment Rental Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing equipment rental processes that support construction projects across the country. This role works closely with project teams, equipment suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure rental equipment is sourced, scheduled, tracked, and invoiced accurately.

This position is based in Columbus, OH and is an in-office role with limited to no travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment rental requests for project teams nationwide
• Source rental equipment and obtain pricing, availability, and delivery information from vendors
• Schedule equipment deliveries, transfers, and pickups
• Maintain accurate equipment rental records, documentation, and contract information
• Verify rental invoices, billing information, and equipment utilization data
• Track rental costs and assist with cost analysis and reporting
• Enter and update information within company databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems
• Communicate regularly with project managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding equipment needs and rental status
• Monitor active rentals to ensure timely returns and minimize unnecessary costs
• Generate reports and provide administrative support related to equipment management initiatives
• Assist with process improvements and reporting tools that enhance operational efficiency

Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Comfortable working extensively with computers, databases, and administrative systems
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and ensure data accuracy
• College education preferred
• Rental experience ideal
• Experience in equipment rental, construction administration, operations coordination, procurement, logistics administration, or a related administrative field preferred
