About the role

The Eddy Current Equipment Operator operates front-end loaders and forklifts while supporting the processing of recyclable scrap metal. This role helps ensure efficient material flow, quality control, and safe facility operations. Successful candidates are self-motivated, dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining quality and productivity.

What you'll do
  • Safely operate a forklift and front-end loader to move, sort, and transport materials throughout the facility
  • Conduct equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
  • Sort and separate scrap metal and recyclable materials while maintaining quality standards
  • Monitor material flow and assist with the preparation and shipment of processed materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support production goals and efficient material processing
  • Communicate operational concerns and work effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and promote a culture of safety throughout the facility
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating both a forklift and front-end loader required
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to perform physical labor in an industrial environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures
  • Reliable attendance and dependability
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining productivity and accuracy

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Day Shift: Monday - Friday
  • Swing Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. (4 10-hour shifts)
  • Training: Training will take place during the day shift. Once training is successfully completed, the employee will transition to the regular swing shift schedule.

Compensation Structure:

$20.00–$22.00 per hour, DOE
