The CNC & ESCO Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing CNC and ESCO manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. This role supports preventive maintenance programs, minimizes equipment downtime, and works closely with production teams to maintain equipment performance and product quality. Key Responsibilities: - Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, ESCO equipment, and related production machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
- Diagnose and repair CNC controls, servo motors, drives, sensors, and automation systems.
- Conduct routine inspections, equipment calibration, and performance testing.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Assist with machine setup, installation, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and machine documentation.
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history logs.
- Coordinate with operators, engineers, and production personnel to resolve equipment issues.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend process or equipment improvements.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
- Follow all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company maintenance standards.
Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Experience maintaining CNC machining centers, lathes, mills, and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of CNC controls, PLC systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex machine and equipment issues.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around industrial machinery for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
