Position Overview:
VSSI Staffing is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility in Katy, TX. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to support safe and efficient operations.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Diagnose problems involving pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Complete equipment repairs promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation.
- Follow established safety procedures and company standards.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Work independently while supporting the production and maintenance teams.
Requirements:
- Previous maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to diagnose equipment problems and complete repairs safely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Availability to work an evening or later shift Monday through Friday.
