Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Engineer 4
Location: Milpitas, CA Onsite
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Equipment Maintenance Engineer 4 with 3 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably within electronics, EMS, PCBA, SMT, or PTH manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing equipment to support production uptime, quality, throughput, and maintenance cost objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Check and calibrate equipment to ensure repeatability and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Support the installation, qualification, and ramp-up of new equipment.
  • Install new manufacturing equipment and support production readiness.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and restore equipment to operational status.
  • Perform preventive maintenance at specified intervals and according to established schedules.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and computer-based systems.
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including conveyor systems and production equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot in-circuit and functional testers, associated test fixtures, stress chambers, and chamber racks to ensure manufacturing test equipment remains operational.
  • Support sustained improvements in equipment uptime, quality, throughput, and maintenance costs.
  • Stay informed of production plans and progress to effectively prioritize equipment maintenance activities.
  • Guide and support projects based on business initiatives and customer needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SMT, PTH, and PCBA manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Experience with automatic component insertion machines.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with equipment calibration.
  • Intermediate English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to support and guide projects based on business initiatives and customer needs.
  • Willingness to travel 5 10%.
  • Ability to work onsite in Milpitas, CA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in electronics/EMS or contract manufacturing.
  • Experience in semiconductor, medical device, or automotive electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience with equipment installation and qualification.
  • Experience working with PLC, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience improving equipment uptime, throughput, quality, and maintenance costs.

Work Requirements:

  • Onsite position in Milpitas, CA.
  • 5 10% travel may be required.
  • This is a contract position for 12 months.
  • Work authorization: H-1B, U.S. Citizen, or Green Card.
