    Position Name: Equipment Design Engineer

    Location: Danvers, MA

    JD:

    Minimum Qualifications

    BS degree in relevant discipline (mechanical or electrical engineering or applied physics) with 5+ year of experience in product design (concept generation, detailed design), fixture development and testing.

    Knowledge on mechanical engineering drawing principles.

    Good in communication

    Good exposure in Medical Device product development process.

    Shall work independently

    Preferred Qualifications

    Support in design, development, improvement of Test fixtures to meet the requirements for new and existing products Manufacturing and Testing.

    Support Test method validations in qualifying the Equipment / Tooling / Fixtures.

    Support CAD activities, CR Review of 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for CR release.

    Participate in generating innovative concepts and system layouts in 3D CAD for Test Fixture and Automation tools.

    Support in Mockup and prototyping of new products for proof-of-concept evaluation.

    Collaborate with supplier for development of Tools and fixtures to improve product robustness and manufacturability.

    Support in Fixture rework, Assembly, Test Setup, and preliminary testing activities.

    Co-ordinate with Vendors for Quote, PO, Fixture fabrication, Inspection and follow up.

    Ensure project status, schedule progress and key project metrics to senior management.

    Responsible for or more of the following:

    o In a supervisory capacity, plans, develops, coordinates, and directs a large important engineering project or several small projects with many complex features.

    o As an individual researcher, carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.

    o Work is expected to result in the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.

    o Work is expected to result in the development of new or refined equipment, materials, processes, products, and/or methods.

    Required Knowledge, Skills

    English communication skills, written and oral.

    Must be proficient in reading Drawings and CAD

    Must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading design work and proving feasibility for manufacturing transfer of design.

    Medical device design experience is a plus or similar work within a regulated industry. Must demonstrate a knowledge base of various manufacturing methods used in the industry
