    Description

Sanmina Corporation (Nasdaq: SANM) is a global powerhouse in integrated manufacturing solutions serving the fastest growing segments of the global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) market. We are a global engine providing the end-to-end manufacturing backbone for the world''s most essential and innovative brands. Whether it''s autonomous vehicles, life-saving medical tech, next-gen aerospace, or AI/cloud infrastructure - our integrated solutions don't just meet standards-they redefine them.

    What You''ll Do

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Equipment & Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations, equipment reliability, and spare parts management across our automated manufacturing plant.

In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing production uptime, establishing robust preventive/predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) systems, and managing technical vendor relationships. You will lead maintenance initiatives across advanced automated machinery-spanning precision cutting and shearing lines, automated assembly and winding equipment, high-vacuum thermal treatment systems, and electrical test bays.

    Equipment Uptime & Reliability

    • Establish, execute, and continuously improve a plant-wide preventive and predictive maintenance program to achieve near-zero unplanned downtime.
    • Troubleshoot and maintain complex, automated industrial machinery, including servo-driven sheet feed/cutting systems, automated material handling, and custom assembly equipment.
    • Support electrical testing infrastructure, ensuring power supplies, transformers, and automated measurement instruments operate reliably and safely.
    • Track and report key equipment performance metrics, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

    Spare Parts & Tooling Management

    • Develop and maintain an end-to-end spare parts strategy: categorize critical wear components, define safety stock thresholds, and establish min/max reorder levels.
    • Manage consumables and precision cutting tooling, establishing rotation schedules and replacement plans.
    • Partner with procurement to source mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic replacement parts while mitigating single-source and long lead-time supply chain risks.

    Controls, Automation & Vendor Support

    • Coordinate basic electrical and controls troubleshooting involving PLCs (Siemens), servo drives, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial sensors.
    • Serve as the primary technical point of contact with equipment OEMs and international suppliers for remote diagnostics, technical support tickets, and warranty items.
    • Ensure all plant machines, safety interlocks, laser scanners, and emergency stop circuits comply with industry Standards.

    Leadership & Safety

    • Supervise, mentor, and schedule on-site maintenance technicians and contractors.
    • Enforce all plant safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, and machine guarding standards.
    • Lead root-cause failure analysis (RCFA) for unexpected breakdowns to implement long-term corrective and preventive actions.

    What You''ll Bring

    • Experience: 5+ years of maintenance engineering, equipment reliability, or maintenance management experience in an automated industrial/manufacturing environment.

    • Technical Breadth: Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background, including working knowledge of:

    • Industrial hydraulics and pneumatics.

    • Precision automated mechanics (servo drives, linear guides, gearboxes).

    • Industrial vacuum systems and fluid/oil processing equipment (pumps, filters, heat exchangers).

    • Automated machine controls (familiarity with Siemens PLCs or similar platforms is a plus).

    • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or equivalent trade school training / extensive hands-on industrial maintenance experience.

    • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    How to Stand Out

    • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification.
    • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
