Equipment and Facilities Manager to lead equipment reliability, engineering projects, and facility improvement initiatives at its facility near
Glenville, NY. This role will lead a technical team while overseeing the performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing or equipment engineering professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, developing teams, and leading projects from concept through implementation.
Responsibilities of the Equipment and Facilities Manager will include:- Lead, coach, and develop team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Oversee the maintenance, reliability, and performance of manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Plan, procure, install, and commission new manufacturing equipment.
- Lead equipment design, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage capital equipment and facility improvement projects, including budgets and timelines.
- Coordinate facility infrastructure maintenance and improvement activities.
- Manage relationships with equipment vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to support operational and strategic objectives.
Qualifications for the role of Equipment and Facilities Manager:- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, maintenance, or facilities management required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience managing capital equipment projects and manufacturing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, automation, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of PLCs, industrial automation, and machine controls.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
