Equipment and Facilities Maintenance Superintendent

Compensation: Starting pay from $100,000 annually

What you’ll do

  • Manage, schedule, and guide Maintenance Mechanics/Technicians performing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding work.
  • Oversee industrial equipment, heavy equipment maintenance, industrial electrical systems, and DOT fleet compliance.
  • Train, coach, and conduct performance reviews; provide corrective action when necessary.
  • Construct, rebuild, and repair equipment in line with job specifications, work orders, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety rules and applicable Federal, State, and local codes and regulations.
  • Advance 5S to maintain clean, safe, and efficient areas.
  • Direct purchasing, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs; perform hands-on diagnostics and fixes as needed.
  • Estimate labor and materials; obtain competitive pricing for equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Maintain labor, material, and work order records; use light trucks to pick up and deliver parts and supplies.
  • Model consistent attendance and adherence to Company Safety policies and standards.

Physical demands and environment

  • Standing, sitting, and walking throughout the facility.
  • Effective verbal/visual/auditory communication.
  • Frequent hand use for grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
  • Lift/carry/push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Work near moving machinery; exposure to temperature changes, dust, and fumes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of ten (5) years’ experience in one or more of the skilled trades.
  • Valid driver's license in the work location State.
