Critical Requirements: BSN + Epic Willow Ambulatory Experience Required
We are seeking an experienced Epic Willow Ambulatory Certified Clinical Applications Specialist with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Epic Willow Ambulatory experience to support clinical application solutions within a healthcare IT environment.
This role requires a unique combination of clinical nursing expertise and Epic application experience. The ideal candidate understands healthcare workflows, has experience supporting clinical technology solutions, and can translate nursing and operational needs into Epic Willow Ambulatory system improvements.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – REQUIRED
- Epic Willow Ambulatory Certification - REQUIRED
- Epic Willow Ambulatory build and application support experience – REQUIRED
- Healthcare information systems experience – REQUIRED
Candidates without a BSN and Epic Willow Ambulatory experience should not be submitted.
Position Summary
The Epic Willow Ambulatory Certified Clinical Applications Specialist serves as a clinical technology subject matter expert supporting Epic Willow Ambulatory applications, workflow optimization, and healthcare system improvements.
This position partners with nursing, pharmacy, clinical operations, and IT teams to analyze workflows, configure Epic solutions, support implementations, troubleshoot application issues, and improve clinical processes through technology.
The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing background combined with Epic Willow Ambulatory experience and the ability to bridge clinical needs with technical solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
- Support, configure, build, maintain, and optimize Epic Willow Ambulatory applications
- Translate nursing and clinical workflow requirements into Epic application solutions
- Perform Epic application configuration, testing, validation, upgrades, and maintenance
- Provide production support and troubleshoot Epic Willow Ambulatory issues
- Analyze clinical workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with nursing, pharmacy, clinical leadership, operational teams, and IT stakeholders
- Support Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives
- Develop and maintain application documentation, workflows, and procedures
- Participate in change management and system improvement initiatives
- Ensure application reliability, performance, security, and compliance
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – REQUIRED
Candidates must possess a BSN from an accredited institution.
Epic Requirements
- Epic Willow Ambulatory Certification required (or certification eligibility upon hire)
- Hands-on Epic Willow Ambulatory build experience required
- Experience configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting Epic applications required
- Experience working within Epic EHR environments require
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare application support experience
- Healthcare information systems experience required
- Epic Willow Ambulatory application support experience required
- Clinical workflow experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) experience
- Clinical informatics experience
- Ambulatory care experience
- Pharmacy workflow experience
