Job Title: Epic Training Manager
Client Industry: Leading Government Healthcare Organization
Location: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 12 months (High potential for extension)
Employment Type: Contract
Work Arrangement: Remote (Occasional travel to behavioral healthcare facilities is required)

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the enterprise Epic training program, overseeing training strategy, curriculum, staff, readiness, and effectiveness for system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing optimization.
Manage the Epic training team, including trainers, curriculum developers, and training operations.
Develop and maintain enterprise Epic training strategies, curricula, materials, and training standards.
Coordinate training activities for Epic upgrades, new functionality, and workflow changes.
Partner with Epic application managers, analysts, clinical/business leaders, and governance groups to assess training needs and operational readiness.
Establish training plans, schedules, communications, and readiness milestones for upcoming system changes.
Monitor training completion, user competency, effectiveness, and feedback, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Ensure all training content strictly aligns with approved Epic workflows, organizational policies, and operational requirements.
Support go-live and post-go-live training activities, providing at-the-elbow support when appropriate.
Standardize training processes across facilities while appropriately accommodating differences in clinical environments.
Provide consistent status reporting, performance metrics, risk assessments, and recommendations to Epic leadership.
Required Skills
5 years of Epic EHR training program management experience.
5 years of experience with Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization.
3 years of experience in leadership and management of Epic training teams.
3 years of experience developing and managing Epic training curriculum and materials.
3 years of applied experience utilizing Epic training methodologies and adult learning principles.
3 years of project management and system implementation experience.
Preferred Skills
Active Epic certification or credentialing.
2 years of experience supporting behavioral health, long-term care, or complex healthcare environments.
2 years of experience managing training for multi-site or enterprise Epic environments.
