TITLE: Epic Application Analyst Senior

JOB OVERVIEW: The Epic Application Analyst Senior is responsible for advanced configuration, support, and optimization of Epic applications supporting core business and patient care functions. The role serves as the primary analyst and subject matter expert for assigned Epic modules or workflows, independently leads complex issue resolution and enhancements across various Epic domains, and partners closely with business, clinical, IT, and vendor stakeholders to ensure system reliability, data integrity, workflow effectiveness, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. The Epic Application Analyst Senior also maintains a strong working knowledge of network, server, and interface infrastructure to independently troubleshoot complex issues, support system integrations, and partner closely with infrastructure teams to ensure application performance and availability.

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

WORK HOURS: Core business hours are approximately 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Employees may be expected to work off hours as necessary to fulfill responsibilities or meet business needs.

REPORTS TO: IT Manager, Epic Applications

PREREQUISITES:

Bachelor''s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare application support including Epic, or experience in operational/functional roles with direct, hands-on use of Epic demonstrating subject matter expertise in core workflows and processes.

Relevant backgrounds may include one or more of the following: Information Services experience demonstrating mastery of complex analysis and leadership on small or moderately complex efforts; or clinical or healthcare operations experience with deep workflow knowledge and leadership experience preferred.

Current Epic certification or proficiency for assigned applications is required; incumbent must maintain required certifications and training.

Experience in advanced configuration, upgrades and releases, integrated testing, and production support required.

Strong understanding of security roles, data controls, change management, and integration fundamentals.

Proven ability to lead stakeholder discussions and translate business or clinical requirements into scalable, supportable solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated mastery in analysis and troubleshooting of healthcare IT applications.

Strong understanding of healthcare computing environments, clinical and operational workflows, and downstream impacts of system changes.

Experience with enterprise reporting, auditing, regulatory compliance requirements, or audit readiness expectations.

Familiarity with change management, testing methodologies, and system governance practices.

Demonstrated ability to set priorities, produce accurate work, and meet deadlines.

Ability to function in a setting with a wide variety of duties and numerous interruptions.

Demonstrated understanding of healthcare computing environments.

Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, learn quickly, and maintain strong attention to detail.

Proven record of excellent organizational skills and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
