    Position Overview
    We are seeking an Epic Application Analyst with hands-on Epic build experience and a strong background supporting Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc) workflows. This role focuses on configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Epic applications to support clinical operations and improve workflow efficiency.
    The position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site participation required for projects, go-lives, implementations, or other business needs. Candidates do not have to reside in Houston, although Houston-area candidates are preferred.
    Remote employment is generally available to candidates residing in Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Certain additional states may be considered individually based on employment eligibility.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Analyze clinical and operational requirements and translate user needs into effective Epic application solutions.
    • Configure, build, test, maintain, and optimize Epic functionality, with a strong emphasis on ClinDoc.
    • Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to improve documentation processes and workflows.
    • Support clinical areas that may include nursing, mother-baby, rehabilitation, and related services.
    • Manage application support requests and troubleshoot system issues in a high-volume environment.
    • Participate in Epic upgrades, testing, implementations, go-lives, and optimization initiatives.
    • Take ownership of assigned Epic application projects and deliverables while managing competing priorities.
    • Develop queries, reports, and other application-based solutions as needed.
    • Maintain strong technical knowledge of assigned Epic applications and integrated technologies.
    • Identify application or workflow issues, evaluate potential solutions, and provide recommendations.
    • Provide application guidance, training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support to end users.
    • Collaborate with technical, clinical, and operational teams to ensure effective integration between technology and workflows.
    • Participate in a rotating after-hours/on-call schedule supporting 24/7 operations.
    • Support team development by sharing knowledge and serving as a resource to less experienced colleagues when appropriate.
    • Complete assigned projects and responsibilities in accordance with organizational quality, productivity, and service expectations.
    Required Qualifications
    • Current Epic certification.
    • At least 2 years of hands-on Epic build experience.
    • Practical experience working with Epic ClinDoc, even if the candidate's primary Epic certification is in another application.
    • Experience taking ownership of Epic application projects or significant application work.
    • At least 2 years of related professional experience within healthcare, technology, education, or a comparable environment.
    • Working knowledge of EHR application support, system configuration, testing, implementation, and optimization.
    • Strong analytical, technical, organizational, communication, and customer-service capabilities.
    • Ability to participate in rotating after-hours/on-call coverage.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Epic Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc) certification.
    • Epic Rehab and/or Stork certification.
    • Associate degree.
    • Experience supporting Epic go-lives and system upgrades.
    • Experience with ticket queue management and application optimization.
    • Previous experience within a large, complex healthcare organization.
    • Approximately 3 or more years of progressive experience involving healthcare information systems, systems analysis, application design, building, testing, or implementation.
    • Experience supporting large-scale information systems and integrated clinical applications.

    Work Arrangement
    This opportunity is mostly remote. Occasional on-site work may be necessary for go-lives, projects, implementations, or other operational needs. Candidates local to the Houston area are preferred but are not strictly required.
    Remote candidates are generally eligible for employment from Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Eligibility from other states may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
    Travel is not routinely required outside of occasional on-site business needs.
