    Environmental Systems Commissioning Technician

    What you'll tackle

    • Own the field lifecycle: installation, start-up/commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial air and water systems.
    • Work across CECO product lines—Adwest, Busch, CECO Filters, Flex-Kleen, Fisher Klosterman, HEE-Duall—focused on VOC abatement, hazardous gas and odor control, particulate filtration, separators, and ventilation.
    • Keep projects on time and on budget; craft crisp status updates and service reports tailored to stakeholders.
    • Partner with Engineering to issue project documents to customers and fabricators.
    • Uphold strict confidentiality for company operations, engineering and pricing strategies, customer/prospect information, and financial performance.
    • Apply Field Service management tools/software to plan work, capture data, and close jobs efficiently.
    • Model safety excellence aligned with Company/OSHA policies and our zero‑accident vision; maintain clean, orderly sites.
    • Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements; perform related duties as assigned.

    What you bring

    • Background in Engineering and/or Electronics, or equivalent training/experience.
    • 5+ years as a Field Services Specialist/Technician.
    • Experience reading specs and CAD drawings; fluency with materials and component documentation.
    • Strong command of process instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature), valve actuators, and test/calibration methods.
    • Experience with continuous emissions monitoring equipment.
    • Knowledge of rotating equipment: dampers, actuators, controls, and seal air fans.
    • Understanding of safe practices for equipment that uses hazardous chemicals.
    • Comfort with Field Service management applications.
    • Valid in‑state driver’s license with a record meeting company standards.
    • FRP and welding exposure is a plus.

    The logistics

    • Remote anywhere in the U.S.
    • Travel up to 75% (some weekends required); interstate travel ability is essential.

    • Compliance with company attendance standards.

    Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
