The role of the Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Manager is to assist in the management of the environmental programs, which include air quality, water quality, and solid wastes issues, to ensure that the company complies with all federal, state, and local regulations. Essential Functions Compliance, Audit & Recordkeeping Collaborate with consultants, Engineering Department, and EHS Director to prepare, obtain and renew all plant environmental permit applications, including but not limited to: Air quality permits Water quality permits Waste water treatment programs Solid waste authorizations, profiles and manifests Perform EHS audits in accordance with company’s written procedures to ensure that corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) are being completed Lead compliance with EPA requirements, including the timely submission of all required reports and notices to Federal, State and local entities Develop, Revise and Maintain Corporate environmental procedures Manage all corporate environmental records and files to ensure regulatory recordkeeping requirements Auditing & Compliance Lead efforts to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental regulations Act as lead in internal audits and assessments of each Plant’s Environmental program Monitor professional literature and attend seminars to stay current with governmental compliance requirements Risk Assessment & Document Control Evaluate hazards within the facilities for environmental risks Manage environmental records and documents so they are always accessible according to regulations Maintain and develop filing systems, for all documents and records for corporate programs Lead root cause analysis for environmental incidents to include spills, exceedances and administrative violations to prevent recurrence Additional Duties Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the EHS Director Position Criteria
