Environmental Specialist IV

Pay Rate: $99.40 per hour
Duration: 18 Months
Location: Pittsburgh Office (PA516)

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, improve, and provide guidance on environmental compliance processes, procedures, plans, and tools
• Interpret permit conditions, regulatory requirements, and environmental commitments and convert them into clear project and contractor compliance obligations
• Coordinate environmental compliance planning, scheduling, and cost estimating, including inspections, monitoring, reporting, training, and recordkeeping
• Work with project teams, contractors, consultants, and field personnel to verify compliance performance, resolve issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Lead environmental compliance programs or projects with significant risk and complexity; support agency coordination, audits, incident response, and operational handoff
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted environmental experience
• Demonstrate excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and prioritize safety
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs for major infrastructure or energy projects during construction and operations
• Expertise in environmental compliance management, permit-condition tracking, contractor oversight, agency coordination, and stakeholder engagement for complex infrastructure or energy projects
