Environmental Specialist 2
Location:
Medford, OR, US
OVERVIEW We are seeking an Environmental Specialist to support transmission, distribution, and substation projects in Oregon and California. This role supports environmental compliance, permitting compliance, and regulatory coordination throughout the lifecycle of utility infrastructure construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
o Support environmental planning for transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
o Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to integrate environmental requirements into project execution.
o Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including NEPA, ESA, the Clean Water Act, and applicable state and local requirements.
o Verify adherence to permit conditions, workplans, mitigation measures, and regulatory requirements.
o Conduct environmental field assessments, compliance inspections, and site visits.
o Identify environmental risks, assess potential impacts, and support implementation of practical mitigation measures.
o Interface with regulatory agencies, clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
o Track, document, and support resolution of compliance issues, corrective actions, and environmental commitments.
o Prepare and review environmental documentation and reports.
