Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service resident rooms, offices, dining areas, stairwells, and common spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces.
- Wash walls, windows, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, elevators, and tracks.
- Gather and dispose of refuse and hazardous waste.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, towels, and toilet tissue.
- Maintain janitor's utility room and care for assigned tools and materials.
- Assist with moving furniture and supplies.
- Set up for meetings and events.
- Shovel snow from walkways and steps.
- Respond to spills and accidents promptly.
- Follow sanitation and infection control procedures.
- Attend departmental meetings and in-service training.
- Demonstrate effective communication with geriatric residents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
