Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawaiis only maternity newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawaiis leader in the care of women, infants, and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6000 babies a year and is also a medical teaching and research facility.
Specialty services for patients throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport, and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapiolani. The hospital is home to the Kapiolani Womens Center and the Womens Cancer Center and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapiolani Child Protection Center, and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
The Environmental Services staff at Kapi'olani strive to maintain a high degree of quality service and healthcare experience by maintaining a pleasant environment for employees, patients, and visitors. Our team ensures that patient rooms and ancillary areas are clean, trash and bio-hazardous waste is safely removed, and clean linen, laundry, and floor care are properly monitored. We take pride in conserving energy and increasing the use of green products and techniques and providing quality services in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
As the Environmental Services Worker, you will play a key role in helping patients and staff feel comfortable by maintaining a clean, safe, and aesthetically cared-for environment at Kapi'olani facilities and providing transport services for the department as needed. We are looking for someone responsive and orderly who shares our commitment to creating a healthier Hawaii.
