Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Housekeeper to join our residential treatment center team. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our clients, staff, and visitors.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, works well independently, and understands the importance of maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in a behavioral health setting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clean and maintain client bedrooms, common areas, offices, bathrooms, kitchens, and other facility areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces throughout the facility.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, sinks, toilets, and other high-touch areas.
Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas in accordance with facility policies and sanitation standards.
Empty and properly dispose of trash and replace liners as needed.
Restock housekeeping and bathroom supplies.
Monitor inventory of cleaning and housekeeping supplies and communicate when items need to be reordered.
Follow proper procedures for the use, storage, and disposal of cleaning products and equipment.
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damage, or other facility issues to management promptly.
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized outdoor/common-use areas as needed.
Follow all infection-control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
Respect client privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Interact with clients and staff in a respectful, professional, and appropriate manner.
Perform additional housekeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred.
Experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, residential, hotel, or similar setting is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Must be able to work respectfully around individuals receiving behavioral health or substance use treatment.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull housekeeping supplies and equipment as required.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical housekeeping duties for extended periods.
Ability to obtain Level 1 fingerprint clearance card
