# Role Overview Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 2 for Women and Infants Hospital, located in Providence, RI. The Operations Manager will oversee approximately 40 employees on the second shift (hours are approximately 2:30PM - 11PM), requiring flexibility to work other shifts and some weekends/holidays. Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, a Care New England hospital, is one of the nations leading specialty hospitals for women and newborns. The major teaching affiliate of Brown University, we are the 9th largest stand-alone obstetrical service in the country with approximately 8,500 deliveries per year. With 235 licensed beds. Our Environmental Services (EVS) Department plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and healing environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. The team is responsible for infection prevention through rigorous cleaning protocols, waste management, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. EVS staff work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams to support patient care and operational excellence. The EVS team is integral to sustaining these high standards of care and service. Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Work closely with the Infectious Control department. Work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Directors. Effectively manage the Unit Operating System. Experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment is preferred. Possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion. Can analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees, and change management. Experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines. Results and safety driven. Experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations. Minimum Management Experience: 2 years. * Minimum Functional Experience: 2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental, or Custodial Services.
