Shift: Days- with weekend rotation
Hours per week: 40 hour/week
Hiring Range: $17.00 -$22.74/hourly
This position is eligible for additional compensation based on the shifts worked.
- Weekday evening shift - additional 10%
- Weekday night shift - an additional 15%
- Weekend day shift – an additional 10%
- Weekend evening & night shifts – an additional 21%
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, offices, waiting areas, and other assigned hospital spaces
- Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms following discharge, transfer, isolation, or special procedures
- Follow established cleaning procedures, infection control guidelines, and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Safely handle, transport, and dispose of waste, linen, and regulated medical waste according to hospital policy
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor machines, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, hand sanitizer, and trash liners
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns (e.g., spills, damaged equipment, biohazards) to appropriate personnel
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests, including spills, isolation rooms, and emergency situations
- Interact professionally and courteously with patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality

Education:
- Less than High school diploma/GED.
