Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Environmental Science or related field. Two years of professional experience in environmental restoration or two years of professional administrative experience involving environmental policies or issues to include grants administration, report development, project management, procedure development, education or enforcement are required. Must possess a Driver license.

This position is responsible for contract administration and monitoring, record-keeping and recommending work requisitions for approval. Responsibilities also include reviewing change orders, invoices, cost estimates, claims, scheduling, and assuring compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements and permits.
These responsibilities are key to maintaining water quality, mitigating potential environmental damage and health hazards, and protecting lives. Incumbents represent the Department when responding to public and governmental inquiries and ensure that program activities meet multiple state-mandated, regulatory requirements and contractual obligations. This role will manage grant-funded programs within the Water Resources Coordination Division and all the field work related to beach renourishment as well as other environmental projects. Duties will also include preparing and reviewing reports for submission to local, state, and federal agencies related to pre- and post-storm flood and beach activities.
