PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Environmental Health Supervisor assists the Environmental Health (EH) Manager in overseeing the environmental health programs, staff, conducting investigations, inspections, and enforcement of regulations related to public health and safety. Will lead in developing training programs, coordinating responses to environmental health hazards, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health or academic field relating to biological science, engineering, clinical or general science.
Five (5) years of experience working with a local, State or Tribal environmental health program.
Master's degree preferred
Tribal experience preferred.
Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Registered Sanitarian.
Strong understanding of environmental health principles, regulations, and best practices.
The ability to conduct inspections, analyze data and communicate effectively.
Current valid driver's license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some weekends or evening hours are necessary in emergency situations. Attendance in accordance with the BBAHC Attendance policy is a job requirement.
