    Location: Tempe, AZ or Houston, TX

    Hybrid: Monday-Thursday in office

    ABM is seeking a Manager, EH&S Safety Programs to play a key role in shaping and advancing enterprise-wide safety initiatives. This is an opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys combining auditing, program development, regulatory compliance, incident analysis, and employee training to create safer workplaces across a large and dynamic organization.

    In this role, you''ll partner closely with Safety and Operations leaders to develop practical, compliant, and effective safety programs that reduce risk, improve performance, and strengthen ABM''s safety culture. You''ll have the opportunity to influence safety strategy across multiple business groups while ensuring programs remain aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

    Attributes Needed

    • Associate or bachelor''s degree in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health Technology, Industrial Hygiene, Business, or a related field.

    • 3-5 years of experience in safety and regulatory compliance.

    • Experience developing safety policies, procedures, or training materials.

    • Working knowledge of federal and state OSHA regulations.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Above-average proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

    • Experience with ISO 45001.

    • Multilingual capabilities.

    • Experience with Zavanta or other document management software.

    • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

    • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 training.

    • Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

    • Up to 10% local travel, generally 1-2 days per month.

    What You''ll Do

    • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise safety programs.
    • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, policies, procedures, training materials, and safety guidance documents.
    • Monitor federal and state OSHA regulations and assess potential impacts to operations.
    • Evaluate existing safety programs for regulatory compliance, effectiveness, and alignment with industry best practices, including conducting gap assessments as needed.
    • Create engaging safety training and educational resources that promote safe work practices and compliance.
    • Analyze safety performance metrics, audit findings, incident trends, and leading indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Review incident investigations, root-cause findings, OSHA investigations, and corrective actions to strengthen safety programs and prevent recurrence.
    • Conduct and support safety audits, assessments, and program reviews to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
    • Partners with Operations and Safety teams to provide practical safety guidance and align safety priorities with business objectives.
