In support of occupational health and safety, environmental protection and emergency management for The Jackson Laboratory, incumbents are responsible for developing, organizing, administering, monitoring and evaluating one or more assigned programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, sound safety and health practices and state of the art systems through benchmarking and other data collection methods; provides specialized technical expertise and serves as the contact for assigned area(s); plans and administers training programs in assigned area(s); prepares reports to management, regulatory agencies and professional associations as required.
