Antea USA, Inc. (AnteaGroup) is looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist in Pittsburgh.

Your key skills: flexibility and adaptability combined with a strong grasp of pertinent Federal and state-specific H&S regulations.
As an EHS Professional, you will be located at the client's facility on a daily basis, and work with their global EHS Management team to provide EHS services, solutions, programs, best practices, and technical guidance. Your role: to effectively and efficiently assure compliance with applicable EHS regulations and mitigate EHS risks. Note that this is a full-time onsite role in the Downtown/Strip District area.
Essential Functions may include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the EHS Management Team with overall EHS compliance management, training, communications, EHS engineering and design reviews, as well as general project management and administration.
- Collaborating with the EHS Management Team to influence and manage EHS resources, projects and business decisions.
- Lead multiple buildings with various atmospheres and fast paced project deadlines.
- Monitoring, revising, and implementing updates in environmental regulations, laws and reporting requirements.
- Conducting environmental and/or health and safety assessments and sampling at client locations. Industrial hygiene sampling skills are a plus.
- Developing, writing, and implementing EHS programs and procedures to drive compliance performance for the high-tech and manufacturing industries. Areas of focus may include machine guarding, chemical management, laser safety, PPE, waste management, hazardous waste disposal, robotics, among others.
- Collecting, measuring, and analyzing regional and site EHS metrics and KPI performance to discover trends for continuous improvement and corrective measures.
- Be a part of the operations team, and lead EHS as an integral part of all aspects of the organization.
- Provide resources to research and development teams on safety and health or environmental regulations and best practices during both the design phase and implementation phase of new products and testing or trial procedures.
- Developing, writing, and delivering EHS training courses. Strong presentation skills and a comfort level with delivering to both small and larger audiences is key. Experience with eLearning development, while not required, would be beneficial.
- Auditing internal programs and policies for compliance with applicable regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering, environmental, industrial hygiene, health and safety or relevant fields.
- 3-8 years of experience in the EHS industry; with experience in laboratories or research and development environments; sampling, managing projects, developing, and implementing EHS management systems. Industry certifications such as CSP, CIH or CHMM (or near-term ability to obtain) are a plus.
- Experience in applied EHS compliance management, specifically with hazardous waste management and EPCRA, is preferred.
- Must understand EPA and OSHA regulations in addition to state-specific regulations and their applicability. Further understanding of additional regulations is a plus (NFPA, DOT / IATA, ANSI).
- Familiarity with chemical storage requirements, basic electrical safety, laser safety, and respiratory protection programs.
- Strong risk assessment development skills.
- Exemplary organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, a must.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments concurrently, including but not limited to: project management, compliance assurance, risk mitigation, injury prevention and environmental management.
- Experience with multi-site EHS management.
- Ability to work independently, with attention to details.
- Strong desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding setting.
- Must be proficient with G-Suite (Google), MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and comfortable with learning new software systems / applications.
- Ability to utilize EHS management platforms such as Enablon.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Potential employees must pass a company-paid physical examination, drug-screen, and have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant's job-related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
