Safety And Environmental Health Manager

Safety Leadership

  • Develop and lead comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with OSHA, Cal-OSHA, and related standards.
  • Drive safety initiatives that improve employee engagement and accountability.
  • Serve as a key resource during regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis efforts.

Environmental Compliance

  • Manage environmental permits, reporting requirements, and compliance programs.
  • Oversee hazardous waste management, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater compliance.
  • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and emergency response procedures.
  • Support environmental and regulatory readiness programs.

Training & Employee Development

  • Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Build certification and competency-based training systems.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance through regular education and communication programs.

Continuous Improvement

  • Establish EHS KPIs and performance dashboards.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Partner with leadership to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote long-term culture change through visible leadership and employee engagement.

Bachelor's degree required. 7+ years of EHS experience within manufacturing. Strong understanding of OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations. Proven success leading safety culture transformations. Strong communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in food manufacturing strongly preferred. CSP certification is advantageous.
