Description

Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator
Location: Universal City, CA -91608
Duration: 6+ months

Introduction

Support environmental compliance across Studio and Theme Park operations, focusing on SPCC, hazardous materials/HMBP, stormwater, hazardous waste, and environmental inspections. Work cross-functionally to identify compliance gaps and drive corrective actions through influence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
  • 1–3 years EHS/environmental compliance experience.
  • Experience with EHS technical programs and environmental regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office/enterprise software.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence teams and drive results without direct authority.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs, stand/walk 4 hours/day, and work in soundstage environments.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s in EHS.
  • Professional environment experience.
  • Media, entertainment, or film industry experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections for SPCC storage tanks, hazardous materials areas, stormwater systems, and material-handling areas.
  • Maintain/update SPCC plans and CERS/HMBP inventories based on field observations.
  • Monitor stormwater controls, treatment/capture devices, diversions, and flow data; identify trends and recommend BMP improvements.
  • Track hazardous waste manifests, costs, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate/accompany County/City CUPA agency inspections.
  • Assist with Asbestos Written Determinations and other EHS/safety activities.
  • Identify compliance issues and collaborate with departments to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate reports, spreadsheets, and records.
