The Environmental Compliance Specialist is accountable to maintain petroleum storage tank compliance at store locations. They will perform a variety of functions pertaining to compliance of petroleum storage tank systems, including, but not limited to, permitting, registering, testing, tracking and researching, local, state and federal rules and regulations. The Environmental Compliance Specialist will provide guidance and serve as a mentor for less experienced team members.
What You'll Do:
- Manage fuel inventory control requirements and reports. Work with accounting, fuel, and service to identify and correct issues causing inventory variance.
- Lead the Monthly Underground Storage Tank (UST) inspection program, working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and correct compliance related issues. Analyze data to identify trends and look for opportunities to correct reoccurring issues.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Make recommendations based on quality and cost effectiveness for changes in store equipment.
- Manage compliance database, including auditing and reporting to ensure accuracy.
- Manage testing companies, contractors, and consultants to schedule and track all state and federal regulations.
- Build workflow for UST alarms to managed action items and escalations appropriately. Manage process and execution of water intrusion and critical alarms with internal stakeholders.
- Communicate with store employees, contractors, and regulators in response to petroleum spills, inspections, and management of the environmental compliance documentation in the stores.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Compensation:
Starting pay range: $55,500 - $72,900. Actual pay may vary based on Casey's assessment of the candidate''s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
