Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Switchgears Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day The Occupational Safety Expert / Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager drives the implementation of Siemens Energy EHS policies and the Zero Harm Program, supporting the manufacturing facility across all phases of operations. This role ensures full compliance with applicable internal, customer, and regulatory EHS requirements, proactively identifying and mitigating EHS-related hazards and risks. In close collaboration with the Site EQS Manager, the EHS Manager plans, implements, and monitors EHS procedures, tracks and reports key performance indicators, and drives continuous improvement of the EHS program. The role establishes and maintains an effective EHS management system aligned with business, regulatory, and customer needs, works closely with department leaders and operations teams to support EHS activities across the site, and leads a team of EHS professionals to ensure consistent compliance and performance. How You'll Make an Impact Identifying and maintaining EHS-related regulatory, customer, and internal requirements while assessing EHS aspects and impacts Performing risk assessments, job safety analyses, lifting plans, and incident investigations while defining and implementing mitigation measures Managing and maintaining the site emergency management concept and preparedness processes Supporting the EQS Manager by ensuring all required EHS permits, authorizations, certifications, and regulatory notifications are in place Implementing and maintaining an EHS training concept that fulfills all regulatory and company training requirements Providing regular EHS reporting to site management to ensure operational transparency and KPI performance What You Bring Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, operations management, or similar, with related work experience Relevant EHS training and certificates Experience implementing a successful behavioral based safety program 3 or more years of management level experience in the field of environmental, health, and safety. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa Experience managing direct reports on multiple shifts Expert knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis methodology Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
