Job Title: Entry Level Staff Accountant
Location: Fontana
Payrate: $23 - $27
100% onsite
Schedule: M - F 8 am - 4:30 pm or 7-4 (flexible)

Key Responsibilities
* General Ledger & Bookkeeping: Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger accounts and post routine journal entries.
* Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, verify approvals, and prepare weekly payment batches.
* Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and issue customer invoices, record incoming payments, and assist with soft collections outreach.
* Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations; identify and investigate discrepancies.
* Month-End Close: Support the Accounting Manager/Controller with month-end close activities, accrued expenses, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
* Audit & Compliance Support: Maintain organized financial filing systems and pull documentation for internal/external audits or tax filings as requested.
* Ad-Hoc Projects: Provide operational and numerical support on special financial projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience/associate degree).
* Software Skills:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
o Familiarity with ERP software is a plus, especially Batchmaster.
* Core Competencies:
o Strong numerical accuracy and high attention to detail.
o Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
o Good verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to handle confidential financial information with high discretion.
