At TRC Talent Solutions, we partner with leading industrial organizations to connect skilled technical professionals with high-impact field service opportunities. We are currently supporting a growing provider of mobile industrial equipment in their search for a Service Technician to support customers across warehousing, manufacturing, and logistics environments.
The Service Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical repair of industrial equipment in field environments. This role is critical to ensuring equipment uptime, operational reliability, and a high level of customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, technically capable across electrical and mechanical systems, and comfortable working independently in customer-facing environments while maintaining strong communication with internal teams.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and battery-related equipment malfunctions in field environments
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on industrial machinery
Conduct post-repair testing to ensure full operational functionality and safety compliance
Identify root causes of equipment failures and document corrective actions taken
Generate repair quotes and follow up with customers as needed
Maintain accurate service documentation including labor hours, parts usage, and repair logs in CRM systems
Track maintenance records, inspection reports, and service checklists
Escalate recurring issues and equipment performance trends to leadership
Provide remote troubleshooting support via phone, email, and video communication
Coordinate with warehouse and parts teams to ensure inventory availability for service needs
Partner with sales teams to support equipment evaluations and installations at customer sites
Maintain strong customer communication and ensure a high-quality service experience
2+ years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance, repair, or field service
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
Strong communication and customer service skills in field environments
Experience using CRM systems or service documentation tools
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in active industrial settings
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
