Job Summary

Security Officers are responsible for protecting site employees, visitors, property, intellectual property, and information assets through patrols, security monitoring, emergency response, and incident investigation. The role involves responding to security calls, alarms, accidents, and emergencies while maintaining a safe and orderly environment. Security Officers also prepare accurate reports and collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal stakeholders.
Job Description
- Conduct mobile patrols of assigned site areas, roadways, and parking lots.
- Protect the site from trespassing, unauthorized entry, theft, and property damage.
- Respond to security calls, intrusion alarms, equipment alarms, and other incidents.
- Provide emergency assistance, including rescue, CPR, and first aid when needed.
- Conduct initial investigations of accidents, crimes, and incidents involving employees or company property.
- Assist with employee and visitor evacuations and maintain order during emergencies.
- Prepare clear, accurate, professional, and timely incident and activity reports.
- Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, utility personnel, and security vendors as needed.
- Collaborate with and provide security training to site employees and security personnel.
- Support security programs, training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
- Recommend security improvements, policies, and implementation upgrades.
- Maintain a professional, trustworthy, and integrity-focused presence.
- Work independently, assess changing situations, and make sound decisions based on circumstances.
- Support the timely implementation of security policies and procedures and reporting of incidents to Corporate Security Management.

Education/Training/Certifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Law enforcement, military, and/or corporate security experience required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to maintain all certifications and training required by the applicable jurisdiction.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the State of Hawaii Guard Card in accordance with HRS 463-10.5.
- CPR and First Aid training/certification preferred or required as applicable.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime.
- Must be available to work more than eight hours in a day when necessary.
- Must be able to perform mobile patrols throughout the assigned site.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies, alarms, security incidents, accidents, and other calls for service.
- Must be able to maintain a professional and composed demeanor in emergency situations.
- Must be able to protect confidential information and sensitive physical and information assets.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $16.29 to $24.29 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
