Entry Level Preventive Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:

Technicians will be responsible for preventive maintenance of semiconductor equipment in a cleanroom environment. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•        Assist experienced technicians with Preventive Maintenance on Thermal Management Systems (TMS) Support the removal, cleaning, and reinstallation of exhaust spool pieces and pump assemblies
•        Perform leak checks, quality checks, and equipment inspections as directed Set up and tear down work areas including tools, parts, PPE, and Red Tape zones
•        Assist with parts receiving, inspection, and staging Work safely at heights using ladders and platforms, utilizing fall arrest equipment
•        Work in environments involving chemicals, exhaust systems, electrical systems, gas lines, and abatement equipment Remain flexible to both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance demands
•        Follow all applicable SOPs and site documentation

  Requirements

  Position Requirements:

  Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
•        Ability to read English and follow technical procedures and instructions. Ability to pass the required 10-panel drug screening and background check.
•        Ability and willingness to use a respirator during work, if applicable. Ability to work compressed work week including overtime as required, 12- hour shifts on a 4/3 day per week rotation; night and day shifts may be available; flexibility to work either is ideal as we may have limited shifts open.
•        Experience with basic hand tools in a professional or personal setting. Local candidates only.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

•        Frequently required to climb, reach above shoulder height, reach below waist level, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Frequently required to enter, work in, and exit tight or restricted areas for inspection and maintenance tasks, possibly for up to 60 minutes at a time, as well as in confined spaces with minimum clearance as low as 24 inches for up to 30 minutes at a time. 
•        Frequently required to wear a respirator. Continually required to walk- up to 10 miles per day.
•        Continually required to talk or hear. Occasionally required to wear fall protection and work at heights up to 20 feet.
•        Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
•        While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds, over distances of up to 50 feet. Team lifts or mechanical aids must be used for heavier items.   
•        Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
•        Chemical hazards are primarily mitigated through engineering controls, but some uncontrolled chemicals from incidental spills requiring cleanup evaluation may require the use of respirators and other PPE. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, respirators, chemical protective gear, and fall protection.
