As a Painter, you will be responsible for maintaining the powder storage area and ensuring all surfaces are free from defects before moving materials to the conveyor line work area. You will be involved in selecting and attaching the appropriate-sized hanging rods, unloading components, and performing visual inspections to ensure complete paint coverage and quality standards. Your role will include touching up minor paint defects and organizing completed work for delivery to the next production department.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain the powder storage area and move materials to the conveyor line work area.
+ Perform visual inspections to ensure all surfaces are free from defects.
+ Select and attach appropriate-sized hanging rods based on line speed, color change requirements, and part size/quantity.
+ Unload components and ensure complete paint coverage and adherence to quality standards.
+ Touch up minor paint defects as required.
+ Stack completed work on pallets or hand trucks, apply appropriate ID tags, and deliver materials to the next specified production department.
+ Lift and move items up to 75 lbs. while performing duties.
+ Engage in standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing as required by the job.
+ Receive daily direction and support from the Team Leader/Supervisor.
+ Perform all work following acceptable quality standards and safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
+ Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
+ Keep work area, tools, and equipment neat, clean, and orderly.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 1–2 years of experience in painting.
+ Experience in spray-painting preparation and application procedures.
+ Working knowledge of modern powder booth functions using powder coating equipment.
+ Ability to read and write, follow written instructions, and complete job-related paperwork.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with assembly, blueprint and schematic reading, hand tools, mechanical assembly, and tape measure usage.
+ Experience in packing, unloading, and warehouse inventory.
+ Stand up forklift experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warwick, RI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
