Manufacturing Technician

Compensation: $18.90–$21.00 per hour
Location: Houston, TX 77060
Duration: One year contract with potential to convert full-term
Hours: Full-time; overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Employment Type: W2 (not open to C2C, 1099, or visa sponsorship)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, rotating shifts: 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, or 9:00 PM–5:30 AM; Central Time. Shifts may change from week to week, and weekends may be required.

Role Overview

The Manufacturing Technician supports daily production operations across extrusion, tapeline, and cover line processes. This role focuses on monitoring equipment performance, assisting with machine setup, maintaining quality standards, and supporting safe and efficient production. The technician works closely with production operators and leadership while developing competency across multiple production lines.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily manufacturing and production operations across multiple production lines.

  • Monitor equipment performance and report operational issues.

  • Assist with machine setup and production changeovers.

  • Maintain established quality and production standards.

  • Clean, mop, sweep, and maintain assigned production areas.

  • Empty trash containers and remove manufacturing shavings and debris.

  • Operate forklifts and cranes safely as required.

  • Support continuous improvement activities and efficient production processes.

  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

  • Work collaboratively with operators and leadership to support production goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Prior forklift operation experience required.

  • Prior crane operation experience required.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts.

  • Ability to work weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Experience working across multiple production lines.

  • Familiarity with equipment monitoring, machine setup, and production processes.
