Job Summary

If you're interested in an Entry Level Laboratory Technician job, then this is the best role for you! The Laboratory Technician will support operations within genotyping laboratories on a 2nd shift schedule. This role may involve working across multiple laboratory areas.

Job Description

• Support daily laboratory operations and activities.
• Receive and organize incoming samples.
• Maintain adequate labware and laboratory supply inventory.
• Prepare buffers and reagents.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment used in genotyping production.
• Review and update task-related documentation.
• Rotate across Chipping, Extraction, and Detection laboratory areas as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly workspace.
• Follow ESH guidelines, SOPs, and workflow procedures.
• Collaborate with system support teams, research personnel, and other functions.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Laboratory-related education or experience preferred.
• Training will be provided as needed for laboratory processes and equipment.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
• 2nd shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
• Willingness to rotate across Chipping, Extraction, and Detection laboratory areas.
• Must follow Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines, SOPs, and workflow guidelines.
• Must maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Training may occur outside normal work hours based on trainer availability and will be discussed prior to hiring.

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $14.86 to $22.86 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
