Job Summary
If you're interested in an Entry Level Laboratory Technician job, then this is the best role for you! The Laboratory Technician will support operations within genotyping laboratories on a 2nd shift schedule. This role may involve working across multiple laboratory areas.
Job Description
- Support daily laboratory operations and activities.
- Receive and organize incoming samples.
- Maintain adequate labware and laboratory supply inventory.
- Prepare buffers and reagents.
- Operate and troubleshoot equipment used in genotyping production.
- Review and update task-related documentation.
- Rotate across Chipping, Extraction, and Detection laboratory areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly workspace.
- Follow ESH guidelines, SOPs, and workflow procedures.
- Collaborate with system support teams, research personnel, and other functions.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Laboratory-related education or experience preferred.
- Training will be provided as needed for laboratory processes and equipment.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
- 2nd shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
- Willingness to rotate across Chipping, Extraction, and Detection laboratory areas.
- Must follow Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines, SOPs, and workflow guidelines.
- Must maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Training may occur outside normal work hours based on trainer availability and will be discussed prior to hiring.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $14.86 to $22.86 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
