Entry-Level Lab Assistant / Technician - 1st Shift

Position Overview

Kickstart your career in science with a hands-on role in a dynamic laboratory environment. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant / Entry-Level Technician to support daily lab and production operations. This role offers excellent training and exposure to industry-standard practices within a regulated setting, making it ideal for someone eager to grow in laboratory or manufacturing sciences.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Assist with the safe handling of biological and hazardous materials following established safety protocols
• Perform routine cleaning, sterilization, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment and production tanks
• Prepare and organize glassware, filtration systems, and lab materials for daily operations
• Support laboratory and production workflows by following established schedules and instructions
• Accurately execute tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines
• Operate and maintain basic lab equipment, including centrifuges, pH meters, balances, mixers, and filtration systems (training provided)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Associate's degree (Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn in a hands-on environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a structured, regulated setting
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety practices is a plus
• Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is beneficial but not required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orangeburg, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
