Entry-Level Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

New Era Staffing & HR Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Tacoma to hire an Entry-Level Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have some hands-on mechanical exposure and are eager to grow their skills in an industrial environment.

You’ll work closely with a senior maintenance technician and receive on-the-job training. Because the equipment is specialized, a strong willingness to learn is just as important as prior experience.

Job Title: Entry-Level Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Tacoma, WA
Pay: $21.50/hr (starting wage)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with OT as needed

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with basic preventive maintenance on industrial equipment
• Inspect and change filters on hydraulic units and air compressors
• Replace seals, air hoses, and hydraulic hoses
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts (training or certification may be provided)
• Support blade changes on regrind machines
• Learn unique equipment and maintenance processes under the guidance of senior technicians

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Entry-level mechanical or maintenance experience
• Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
• Experience operating forklifts or scissor lifts is a plus
• Basic welding experience is a plus
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
