Job Summary

If you're interested in an Entry Level Field Operator job, then this is the best role for you! This role assists with agricultural field and seed activities, including planting, harvesting, sampling, field preparation, and equipment operation. Work primarily outdoors and support the maintenance and improvement of farms and related assets. Follow all safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Assist with planting, pollinating, harvesting, threshing, shipping, weeding, field preparation, seed preparation, sampling, detasseling, rogueing, and other field and seed activities.
• Operate tractors, combines, harvesters, sprayers, threshers, and other farming equipment as needed.
• May drive a company vehicle to transport materials and equipment to and from work sites and fields.
• Assist with the maintenance and improvement of farms and assets.
• Follow all safety policies and site safety requirements.
• Attend required safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

• 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to bend and perform tasks at waist level and below.
• Ability to work extended hours or shifts during peak seasons.
• Ability to read and write and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety requirements.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from supervisors and managers.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, including uneven surfaces, mud, insects, heat, cold, and sun exposure.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
• Start Time: 08:00 AM
• Must be able to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Must be able to work in uncontrolled outdoor conditions.
• Must follow all applicable safety policies, SOPs, and site requirements.

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $22.69 to $30.69 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
