ERG is seeking an entry-level environmental professional to support projects within our Water Practice. This opportunity is ideal for a recent or upcoming graduate with an interest in water resources, water quality, and wastewater management. Coursework in water resources and/or wastewater management is required.

The selected candidate will provide project-level support on a variety of technical and analytical water projects. Candidates with an engineering background will be expected to pursue and complete the requirements for Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Job Description:

  • Provide technical and project support across ERG's water-related projects
  • Assist with research, data collection, and analysis related to water resources, water quality, wastewater management, and water and wastewater treatment
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and other project deliverables
  • Evaluate water and wastewater treatment needs, system performance, and associated costs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and project managers to support client objectives
  • Assist with project coordination and administrative tasks to facilitate successful project execution

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, with a focus on water or wastewater
  • 0-1 year of professional experience
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0; college transcripts required
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including advanced Excel functions and R
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Academic coursework or research experience in wastewater, water resources, or water quality
  • Internship or project experience in environmental consulting, water management, or a related field
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance frameworks applicable to water programs

$60,000 - $80,000 a year
