    Position Overview:

    To accelerate innovation across these brands, TRATON R&D brings together engineering expertise and technology development from around the world into one global organization, including International, Scania, MAN and Volkswagen Truck and Bus. This enables teams to collaborate across brands, share knowledge, and develop the next generation of sustainable transportation solutions while supporting the unique products and customers of each brand.

     

    TRATON R&D engineers also collaborate with colleagues across the brands, providing opportunities to contribute to both North American product development and a global engineering network. For New College Graduates and Interns, this means the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work alongside experienced professionals, and make meaningful contributions from the beginning of their careers.

    Responsibilities:

    Potential opportunities may exist within the following areas of TRATON R&D:

    Connected & Connected Services (C&C)

    • Support the development of connected vehicle solutions, digital services, data-driven technologies, and future mobility innovations that enhance customer value and operational performance.

    Powertrain

    • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and optimization of propulsion systems that power the next generation of commercial vehicles.

     

    Battery & Charging

    • Support the advancement of electrification technologies, including battery systems, charging solutions, energy management, and sustainable transportation initiatives.

     

    Electrical Engineering & Software (EE & Software)

    • Participate in the development of vehicle electronics, embedded systems, software platforms, controls, connectivity, and emerging digital technologies.

     

    Vehicle Engineering, Materials Engineering, CAE/Simulation

    • Collaborate on shared technologies, systems, and engineering solutions that enable cross-brand innovation and support the TRATON Group's global product strategy.

    Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
    Additional Requirements:
    • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
