    Job Opportunity: Entry-Level Electrical Designer/Engineer (AEC Industry)

    Position Seniority: Entry-Level / Junior

    Location: Central Florida (Hybrid - 3 days/week in Orlando office)


    Note: Currently a 5 person team - benefits will need to be obtained privately, but our client is willing to pay a salary above market rate to help compensate for this. Unlimited PTO. Highly competitive salaries based on experience level.


    The Role


    We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Entry-Level Electrical Designer/Engineer to join a premier engineering firm based out of Orlando, FL.     Key Responsibilities


    • Technical Design & Production: Learn and assist in developing electrical design drawings, lighting layouts, panel schedules, load calculations, and construction documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
    • Collaboration: Partner with project managers, senior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Plumbing) to learn project workflows and coordinate seamless system integration.
    • Code Compliance: Gain working knowledge of applicable building codes, energy standards, and local regulations to ensure compliant design outputs.
    • Project Support: Assist senior team members with design reviews, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and occasional site visits to observe field construction practices.
    • Culture Contribution: Actively contribute to a high-character workplace through dependable execution, curiosity, and professional service.


    Qualifications


    • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) OR prior internship/co-op experience in electrical engineering design.
    • Software Proficiency: Hands-on exposure to AutoCAD and/or Revit through coursework, projects, or internships is required.
    • Licensing: Engineer Intern (EI / EIT) certification or progress toward passing the FE exam is a plus, but not required.
    • Technical Aptitude: Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles; familiarity with building power distribution, lighting concepts, or the National Electrical Code (NEC) is preferred.
    • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, problem-solving mindset, clear communication abilities, and a high eagerness to learn.
    • Geography: Must reside in or near the Central Florida area to accommodate the 3-day weekly in-office requirement in Orlando.
