We operate a portfolio of 34 affordable multifamily communities across 13 states. We're looking for an organized, curious person to support our Project Manager and VP of Construction on renovation and capital projects across the portfolio. No construction background required. If you're a college student or recent grad interested in real estate, construction management, or operations, this is a hands-on way to learn how large-scale renovation projects get bid, contracted, and built.

What you'll do

  • Help prepare Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including scopes of work, bid forms, and supporting documents
  • Identify and reach out to contractors and vendors, distribute bid packages, and follow up to gather proposals
  • Organize and compare bids so the Project Manager and VP of Construction can make award decisions
  • Support contract administration: tracking contracts, insurance certificates, change orders, invoices, and lien waivers
  • Keep project schedules, budgets, and files current
  • Coordinate with property staff, contractors, and the construction team across multiple states
  • Take on additional project tasks as your skills grow

What we're looking for

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in construction management or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Clear, professional written and phone communication
  • Comfortable with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Reliable follow-through and willingness to ask questions
  • Interest in construction, real estate, or affordable housing is a plus

What we offer

  • $20–$30/hour, depending on experience and availability
  • Flexible scheduling for students, with hours built around your class schedule
  • Full- or part-time options
  • Direct mentorship from our Project Manager and VP of Construction
  • Real exposure to multi-state renovation projects from bid to completion
  • Room to grow into a larger project management role
