This full-time opportunity is designed for an outstanding third-year law student (3L) pursuing a career in sophisticated tax law. The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized tax practice advising clients on complex domestic and international tax matters involving mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, tax controversy, litigation, joint ventures, and emerging industries.

Key Responsibilities
Support attorneys with legal research involving federal, state, and international tax matters
Analyze complex tax issues affecting corporate transactions, business reorganizations, and strategic planning
Assist with drafting memoranda, legal opinions, correspondence, and tax planning documentation
Participate in due diligence activities for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures
Assist with tax controversy matters, audits, administrative proceedings, and litigation preparation
Conduct statutory, regulatory, and case law research while monitoring legislative developments
Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups on multidisciplinary client matters
Prepare client-ready work products while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Participate in client meetings, internal strategy discussions, and professional development opportunities
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, confidentiality, and legal excellence
Required Qualifications
Current third-year law student (3L) expected to graduate from an accredited law school
Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career focused on tax law
Strong academic credentials
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced legal environment
High level of professionalism and sound judgment
U.S.-based applicants residing in one of the eligible office locations only

Preferred Qualifications
Completion of tax law coursework with strong academic performance
Participation in Tax Law Society, Moot Court, Law Review, or similar legal organizations
Previous judicial internship, law clerk, or summer associate experience
Interest in corporate taxation, international taxation, M&A, transfer pricing, blockchain, or tax controversy
Demonstrated leadership through academic, professional, or community involvement
Strong client service mindset with exceptional attention to detail
