Role Overview

Photon is seeking experienced Senior Enterprise Solution Architects / Senior Solution Architects to support large-scale transformation initiatives within the financial services industry.

The role will focus on reviewing business and technology initiatives, assessing architecture options, evaluating build vs. buy / reuse vs. build decisions, and defining scalable end-to-end solution architectures.

Strong Fraud domain experience in Banking or Financial Services is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review business and technology initiatives and assess architecture options.
• Define end-to-end solution architecture across applications, APIs, integration, data, security, and infrastructure.
• Evaluate build vs. buy, reuse, modernization, and platform options.
• Assess existing application landscapes and recommend simplification, consolidation, or modernization opportunities.
• Develop architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, and integration flows.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, target-state direction, security, scalability, and resiliency requirements.
• Partner with business, product, engineering, data, and security teams to translate requirements into implementable solutions.
• Provide architecture leadership and guidance through design and delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of technology experience with strong experience in Solution Architecture / Enterprise Solution Architecture.
• Strong Fraud domain experience within Banking, Payments, Cards, or Financial Services.
• Experience architecting complex enterprise applications and platforms.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, microservices, data architecture, and event-driven architectures.
• Proven experience evaluating architecture optionality and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Experience with application modernization and enterprise-scale transformation programs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience with Fraud Detection, Fraud Prevention, Transaction Monitoring, Identity, Authentication, or Risk platforms.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled fraud solutions.
• Experience with large-scale Banking, Payments, or Card ecosystems.

Ideal Candidate

A senior architect who can understand the business problem, evaluate multiple technology options, recommend the right approach, and translate it into a practical solution architecture for delivery.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 53,000

Maximum Compensation: USD 188,000

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
