Experience with large-scale SaaS transformation and modernization programs. Experience leading geographically distributed QA teams and vendor resources.Summary: Lead the overall testing strategy, quality assurance governance, and execution for a large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation. Serve as the central leader of the testing organization, ensuring successful delivery of all testing activities across the project lifecycle. Provide quality and test advocacy, resource planning, risk management, stakeholder communication, and resolution of issues that may impede testing efforts. Oversee data migration validation, ETL testing, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management, vendor coordination, and compliance validation. Ensure EHR workflows, interfaces, SaaS configuration changes, vendor releases, and data conversions meet business, clinical, regulatory, audit, security, and project delivery requirements. Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with executive leadership, program teams, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.Responsibilities: Leadership & Test Management: Lead the overall QA and testing strategy for the EHR SaaS implementation program. Manage testing resources, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure project success. Establish and maintain QA governance processes, methodologies, standards, and testing frameworks. Serve as the primary QA point of contact for leadership, vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders. Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to QA analysts, testers, and test leads. Identify, escalate, and resolve issues, risks, and barriers impacting testing activities. Test Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain testing strategies, test plans, testing schedules, and resource allocation plans. Lead system testing, integration testing, regression testing, performance validation, and UAT support activities. Ensure SaaS configuration changes, system enhancements, vendor releases, and production deployments are thoroughly tested. Create and maintain test cases, test scripts, traceability matrices, testing evidence, and quality documentation. Monitor testing progress and ensure adherence to project milestones and quality standards. Data Migration & ETL Testing: Lead validation efforts for data migration and conversion from legacy EHR and ancillary systems. Validate patient, clinical, pharmacy, billing, scheduling, and historical records for completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation. Review ETL processes, data mapping specifications, validation rules, and reconciliation reports. Conduct pre-load and post-load validation testing, field-level verification, exception analysis, and data integrity assessments. Ensure migrated data supports operational, clinical, reporting, and regulatory requirements. Functional & Integration Testing: Lead functional testing across EHR modules including clinical documentation, scheduling, orders, medications, billing, and patient management. Validate end-to-end workflows involving clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, administrative staff, schedulers, and business operations teams. Coordinate testing of interfaces, APIs, inbound and outbound data feeds, and downstream reporting systems. Verify compliance with business rules, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements. Defect & Quality Management: Establish defect management processes and oversee defect triage activities. Ensure defects are documented, prioritized, assigned, remediated, retested, and validated before production deployment. Track testing metrics, defect trends, risks, and quality indicators. Prepare and present status reports to project leadership and stakeholders. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate testing activities with vendors, implementation partners, technical teams, and business users. Partner with clinical and business SMEs to develop UAT scenarios and acceptance criteria. Support UAT execution, sign-off activities, readiness reviews, and deployment planning. Facilitate communication between project teams to ensure successful testing outcomes. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all testing documentation meets audit, regulatory, compliance, and project governance standards. Support initiatives related to HIPAA, privacy, security, and healthcare regulatory compliance. Maintain complete testing evidence and documentation for audits and project reviews.
