The position was originally created because the State of South Carolina Department of Administration needs an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate the application of Scrum and Agile processes across project and operational teams.

Position Overview: The selected candidate will facilitate Agile/Scrum processes, lead Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, track project delivery and KPIs, and work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and development teams to ensure successful project execution.
Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
• 3+ years of experience leading Scrum Ceremonies
• 3+ years of experience with DB Querying and Programming
• 3+ years of experience using Agile Project Management Tools
• 3+ years of experience working in Hybrid Agile + Waterfall environments
• Bachelor's Degree – completed and verifiable

Preferred Skills

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar Agile certification
• Government / Public Sector experience
• ERP experience

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement
• Ensure teams follow Scrum Framework and Agile principles
• Remove project impediments and support timely issue resolution
• Track KPIs, project status, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and development teams
• Promote Continuous Improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions
• Support delivery within agreed schedule, budget, and quality expectations
• Coach and mentor teams to improve Agile maturity, accountability, and collaboration
