The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Software Development Manager to lead Agile development across our ServiceNow environment, eDiscovery platforms, and related internal applications. This leader will combine strong technical acumen with proven people management capabilities to drive modern engineering practices, deliver high-quality solutions, and ensure seamless operations across ‑mission critical‑ systems. Candidates with hands-on ServiceNow experience and relevant project management certifications (CSM, PMP, PMI-ACP) are highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, ServiceNow developers, and analysts.

  • Serve as both a manager and a hands-on contributor; participate in solution architecture, requirements quality reviews and facilitate technical troubleshooting as needed.

  • Oversee the full Agile delivery lifecycle, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, release management, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive the development, customization, and optimization of ServiceNow modules in alignment with enterprise standards & best practices.

  • Manage enhancements and support for eDiscovery tools and integrations, ensuring stability, scalability, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Security, Infrastructure, and Upper Management to ensure solutions align with business priorities.

  • Support engineering best practices for code quality, DevOps, test automation, and documentation.

  • Monitor platform health, lead incident response for major issues, and oversee root-cause analysis and remediation.

  • Develop and maintain roadmaps and resource plans across supported platforms and applications.

  • Manage platform upgrades for ServiceNow and eDiscovery solutions.

Qualifications:Required: 

  • 6+ years in a role supporting software delivery of enterprise applications.

  • 3+ years of experience managing or operating as a team lead

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading Agile teams.

  • Proven ServiceNow experience, including knowledge of foundational capabilities, modules and tables

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Desired:

  • Relevant project management certifications (e.g., CSM, PMP, PMI-ACP)

  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Implementation Specialist).

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and API‑based integrations.

  • Familiarity with eDiscovery or legal technology platforms (e.g., Relativity, Nuix).

  • Experience with DevOps toolchains (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.).

  • Background in regulated environments or industries with strong compliance requirements.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
